GREENHOUSE PRODUCTION WORKER - WHOLESALE

DUTIES INCLUDE:
• Providing FRIENDLY, HELPFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE  to our customers
• Pulling order (attention to detail is necessary) 
• Loading trucks
• Driving delivery trucks (15ft-26ft - no CDL required)
• Putting down/moving of plant material                                 

  (attention to detail is necessary for our inventory system)
• Other general greenhouse duties : transplanting, watering, keeping

  greenhouse clean
• This is a seasonal position, March - June 30-40 hours/week (some 

  weekends and overtime required in late April- May)

  Possibility of extending into Summer-Oct

EXPERIENCE:
• Friendly helpful attitude (Great Customer Service is a top priority)
• Basic plant knowledge, identification, and prior greenhouse experience

  preferred
• Ability to work alone or with a group 
• Detail orientated and organized
• Be able to take direction and work independently
• Be able to stand, bend and be on your feet for entire shift 
• Valid Driver's License

• Be able to get to and from work everyday (we are not on a bus route)

• Be able to read and speak English proficiently
• Lift up to 50lbs

SALARY RANGE: Hourly

GARDEN CENTER SALES ASSOCIATE

DUTIES INCLUDE:
Providing FRIENDLY, HELPFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE  to our customers

• Assisting customers by (ex): escorting them to products, assisting them

  with their product to their car, answering questions)  
• Maintain the general upkeep of flowers & plants: pruning, planting,

  watering, etc.
• Restocking, Inventory and Displays
• Keeping the sales floor area clean and organize

• Opening and closing greenhouse

• Opening and closing of cash register - accountable for balancing
• Approximately 12-30 hours per week 
• This is a seasonal position and will run from mid-April
through the end

  of June.

EXPERIENCE:
• Friendly helpful attitude (Great Customer Service is a top priority)
• Experience in sales/retail and cashiering

• Basic plant and gardening 
• Detail orientated and organized
• Be able to take direction and work independently
• Be able to stand, bend and be on your feet for entire shift 
• Be able to help customers load product into their 
vehicle
• Lift up to 50lbs

GARDEN CENTER MANAGER 
DUTIES INCLUDE:
• Maintains a positive attitude. Helps create a friendly atmosphere by

  encouraging employees to greet and speak to customers, providing prompt,

  courteous, and efficient service to customers and sets an example.

• Willingness to connect with customers - (remebering names, face, needs)
• Supervision of garden center personnel
• Daily scheduling of personnel

• All retail sales
• Inspecting garden center daily checking for:  weeds, insects, diseases, 

  damage, quality control, pruning needs, signage, etc - Keeping

  everything looking good and neat
• Entering and updating sale prices and information into P.O.S. system 

  (Ipad based)  

• Overall understanding/proficiency in the P.O.S. system

• Inventory

• Emailing customers and social media posting

• Merchandising/ Displays of product - weekly

• Opening and closing greenhouse

• Opening and closing of cash register - accountable for balancing

• Training all employees (as needed) on register, answering phones,

  customer relations, plant maintenance

• Putting in the extra effort necessary to complete all task

• Handles and satisfies all customer issues

• Problem solving

• Supervision of all transplanting, plant maintenance and task

• Maintain positive communications with management

• Enforcement of company's policies and manual
• Approximately 30-40 hours per week 
• This position runs from Jan through August (part time possible after)

EXPERIENCE:
• Friendly helpful attitude (Great Customer Service is a top priority)

• Experience managing employees
• Experience in sales/retail and cashiering

• Education: Horticulture degree/2 yr Technical certification; 1-2 years

  of greenhouse experience would be preferred
• Detail orientated and organized
• Be able to stand, bend and be on your feet for entire shift 
• Be able to help customers load product into their vehicle
• Lift up to 50lbs
