So What's this CSA thing About?
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is based on the idea that where food comes from should be just as important as the food itself! CSA members pay in advance for a share of the upcoming harvest and are ensured high-quality local produce and flowers, and we the farm, are ensured a consistent market. CSA connects you to the land where your food & flowers are grown and the farmers!
it's about community!
When you join the CSA your are part of a COMMUNITY
that supports a small, local farm.
The benefits of the Community Supported Agriculture are plenty. Joining a CSA creates the opportunity to learn about and appreciate local, seasonally grown food. It provides you the member with an awareness of the many challenges and numerous rewards of farming. This includes the risks and uncertainties of farming, as well as sharing in the bountiful harvest. CSA is a relationship of mutual support and commitment between the farmer and you, the member. CSA members buy a seasonal share, which guarantees the farmer some financial support for purchasing seed, labor and other day to day expenses. In return the member receives weekly shares (based on share size) of fresh, locally grown produce or blooms throughout the summer
