- We custom grow our plugs in 3 different tray sizes for 3 different uses. We offer a 128
size tray, primarily used for
growing vegetable, cut flower and
herb plugs. A 72 size tray is
traditionally used for landscaping
projects because this size provides
a slightly larger finished plug. Our
288 and open sized tray are used
only for onion and leek plug production.
- We guarantee a 80% germination on all of our custom grown plug trays. A 128 size tray guarantees 100 plants, a 72 size tray gives you 58 plants, and a 288 tray gives you 233 plants.
- We offer an extensive list of plug varieties in our catalog that are well adapted for our northern growing climate. If there is something that you are looking for that we don't offer please inquire as we can usually special order seed to accommodate your needs.
- We will also custom grow trays with seed that you provide for us at a reduced cost. Acceptable seed can be either store bought seed or hand collected seed, but self collected seed must be free of plant debris and less than one year old to ensure proper germination. We offer no germination guarantees on self provided seed.
- Custom plug orders received before January 31st will receive a 3% early order discount. Onion and Leek orders must be received by February 1st and all other plug orders must be placed by March 1st to ensure proper growing times.
